Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery Cadaveric Dissection Course

Video-assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery  (VATS), has been widely adopted in the diagnosis and treatment of surgical diseases of the lungs, without the use of thoracotomy or sternotomy.

Among the NoDE’s training seminars, the VATS fresh frozen human cadaver wet labs offer the opportunity to small groups of thoracic surgeons to train in an actual O.R. setting complete with all relative technology.

Trainees will have the opportunity to perform VATS surgery on fresh frozen cadavers with step-by-step guidance by experts, in an actual operating-room setting. For every two trainees a cadaver, a proctor and an operating theater are assigned.
