Mrs. Eleni Andriopoulou graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of
Thessaloniki and completed her specialization in General Surgery at KAT General and Trauma
Center Hospital of Athens
During her residency and later as a Surgeon she had -training in Specialist Centers (Brussels,
Strasbourg, United Kingdom) in Trauma and Digestive diseases with a particular interest in minimally
invasive techniques related to the lower digestive system for which she successfully completed a
fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Robotic fellowship at Bordeaux
Colorectal Academy France
She is a passionate teacher and educator and has participated in several educational events, and
national and international conferences.
After a long journey in Great Britain, she returned to Greece and works as a Trauma and Colorectal
Consultant at the Hellenic Red Cross Hospital NHS
Committed to minimal access surgery for Colorectal surgery and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction
focus on enhanced recovery and the development of pathways to improve patient experience
She has been a clinical investigator of several studies and has presented widely
Member of international and Greek Societies HSS, ESCP, ECCO, WSES SAGES, EAES EHS has an active
role in the training of new surgeons and academic duties with the Royal College of Surgeons,
Clinical Tutor, with the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, responsible for simulation in
surgical education and as member of the Educational Committee of Hellenic Surgical Society
