Ayca F Gultekin, MD, FEBS-Colo, INT-FASCRS is a Professor of General Surgery and a Colorectal Surgeon at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, School of Medicine, Turkiye. Her clinical and academic focus includes colorectal oncology, proctology and pelvic floor surgery. She has extensive experience in advanced colorectal procedures and multidisciplinary management of complex pelvic floor diseases.
Prof. Gültekin serves as Secretary of the UEMS Division of Coloproctology and is an active member of the ESCP Education Committee and the ASCRS Self-Assessment and Pelvic Floor Steering Committees. She is Editor-in-Chief of the Turkish Journal of Colorectal Disease and Associate Editor of Diseases of the Colon & Rectum.
She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is regularly invited as a speaker at national and international congresses. Her academic interests also include surgical education, research methodology, and quality standards in international board examinations.
