I work as a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon in a large university hospital in Nottingham in the UK with a clinical practice that includes intestinal failure, inflammatory bowel disease and complex abdominal wall repair. After completing my general surgery and colorectal training in the South West of England in 2021 I undertook a fellowship in intestinal failure and rehabilitation surgery at St Mark’s Hospital and short colorectal and hernia fellowships in Leuven and Ghent, Belgium in 2023.
I sit on the EAES research committee and co-organise the Research Talent Academy and Sandpit. My research interests include abdominal wall repair and high output stoma. I also have an interest in guidelines and guideline methodology, I chair ACPGBI’s guidelines committee and am a member of the ESCP guidelines committee.
