Konstantinos G. Moulakakis, MD, PhD, MSc, FEBVS is Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens ( Department of Vascular Surgery, Attikon University Hospital, Athens, Greece). He has previously served as Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of Patras. He obtained his MD from the University of Patras Medical School and his PhD and MSc from the University of Athens. Following completion of his vascular surgery training at the Hellenic Red Cross Hospital, Athens, he worked at the Department of Vascular Surgery, University of Cologne, Germany, where he received advanced training in vascular and endovascular surgery. He has also completed educational training in complex aortic surgery at the Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, USA. His clinical and research interests focus on aortic diseases, endovascular and open aortic repair and vascular graft infections. He has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications and has an h-index of 47 with more than 7,180 citations (Google Scholar). He has served as Principal Investigator or collaborating researcher in numerous national and international multicenter studies and registries, including OVATION, VERN COVER, PERCEIVE, DEFINITE, ACST-II, Xeltis aXess, VicToRiA, BLAST, ARMIES, SIMBA, ANKURA aortic stent graft trials. Dr. Moulakakis has served as General Secretary of the Hellenic Society for Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, is Editor-in-Chief of the Hellenic Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery (HelJVES), a Fellow of the European Board of Vascular Surgery (FEBVS), and a member of the HEVAR Vascular Registry coordinating committee.
